I really like her..........................?

Long story short I went out for a girl that I liked for 2 years until her mom found out. We didn't really talk for about 2 weeks then when we did she said she would kiss me for my b-day? I asked if she still liked me and she said "just as a friend." Then I asked "why she would want to kiss me if she didn't like me" and she said 'because she felt bad for rudely dumping me". I told her " it was fine and she didn't have to do something she didn't want to do". She said but thats not the case? So i asked what she meant and she said "its personal" What going on since she doesn't like me?
