What is ACORN all about?

i have to put together a mock 1AC for a speech and debate club and i was just wondering what kind of advantages i could put in. but all my evidence has to be before Sept. 16 09. our mock resolution is: Resolved: The United States Federal Government should substantially cut all funding of ACORN. (i know it was already enacted. it's a MOCK resolution.)
