Brown spots/pigments caused by pimples (help!)?

These brown pigments are caused by pimples I had 11 months ago. At first it was red then over the months it turned brown probably due to sum exposure (and not using any sunscreen) I thought it would go away by itself but it hasn't. I did pop my pimples by mistakenly with my nails =( What can I use to clear them away? If I use Neutregena Acne Mark Fading Peel or (not sure if it's available here) or Mederma, will it help? By the way, are these brown pigments scars? I don't want to go through any laser or surgery since I'm only a teenager. What about cocoa er or tea tree oil? Can you suggest any whitening product or anything that will make them disappear? Is there anything homemade? Proactive isn't available here. By the way, I don't have that much of acne though I do get 2 or 3 small pimples sometime. My face isn't oily neither is it dry, it's just normal. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks a lot!
