What is the name of that old pc game?

I'm trying to remember the name of an old PC medieval adventure game. It had primitive graphics and you controlled your character with the arrow keys and text commands. The beginning of the game was your character waking up via a water drip alarm clock. Some of the events in game were a sword fight, selling a "beer sliding" machine to the bartender at the nearby pub (resulting in a guy getting KO'd by a wayward sliding mug), and possibly getting eaten by a sea monster if you swam too far out into the ocean. Anyone have any idea what game I'm talking about?
