What would you consider to be George Steinbrenner's crowning achievement and why?

George Steinbrenner bought the New York Yankees in 1973 for $8.8 million dollars. Recently, Forbes Magazine valued the team at 1.6 Billion dollars. He is justifiably a very controversial figure but there is no one who can deny he is a genius as a businessman and has done a lot to improve the Yankees franchise.
