When was the last time it snowed like this in NYC? the mid-80s? it's so pretty I think cars should stay parked?

Earlier today all day the temperature was above freezing but it snowed big snowflakes and it was slushy like I have never seen and at night it hardly fell below freezing but the slush is covered and it's white all over .Some ice forms underneath but you can crush it with your hand. Winds will swirl, snow kicking up, falling endlessly, footprints disappearing against the orange sky as of midnight, 2/26/2010. It's like we're on the equator!!
